National PTA Program Funding Available to PTAs

Hello PTA leaders, 

As the new school year is getting underway, I am pleased to share with you that National PTA is offering over $1M to eligible PTAs to help host programs in the areas of digital safety, STEM, healthy lifestyles, the arts and more. The application period is now open. No prior grant-writing experience is required, and by answering only a few questions, PTAs can be eligible for $1,250 or more in program funding. We want to highlight that there is funding specifically for high school PTAs, with many grants at $3,000, as well as funding for district/council/region, state and local PTAs to support online safety and opening dialogues with teens on the topic of digital safety. 

While PTA programs can be implemented at no or low cost, this funding can help PTAs cover expenses such as materials, childcare, custodial services, food, transportation and translation services to ensure all families can participate. 

As national and state PTA leaders, you are ambassadors to our district/council/region and local PTAs, and we would love your help sharing these funding opportunities with them. We could especially use your support in reaching out to PTAs that  could really use extra support in their community and others that don’t know about these opportunities or have never applied. 

You can use the sample messaging and graphics in our toolkit to share our program funding opportunities with PTAs. The deadline to submit applications is Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 11:59 p.m. PDT. If you can please share information about our grants throughout the application period, we appreciate it.

Our engaging and educational programs give families access to resources that support their health, safety, well-being and academic success. When PTAs host these programs, it demonstrates the value and impact of PTA in a tangible way and creates opportunities to reach and engage new members as well as create connections with local partners.
